REASSURANCES
If I could grab
the reassurances in the palm of one hand to put all of them back
into the world
they would be lilies on a battlefield
to convert the heart of the Earth from lava to sugar,
but like an army of ants,
that feeds to raise its larvae,
they'll would let ashes to scatter.
At the ringing of the bells the siren:
the soul that doesn't lighten up slowly wears out.
